Welcome! I am a recent doctoral graduate from the School of Natural Sciences at the University of Tasmania (UTAS). I am currently working as the Indigenous Protected Area Coordinator for Parna Ngururrpa Aboriginal Corporation near Balgo, Western Australia in the Great Sandy Desert. My research interests focus on the nexus between fire and large herbivores in savanna and arid ecosystems and global relationship patterns. My recent PhD thesis focused on the relationships between fire, forage and large herbivores, both native and introduced, in the northern tropical savannas of Australia (see the Recent Research tab for more information). Though I have moved from tropical savanna to arid desert with my recent appointment, I look forward to applying my knowledge and also learning so much more about Australia’s desert ecosystems from the Traditional Owners.
